Territorial temperatures and thermal sums
Indicators are calculated on territorial-mean series after spatial averaging. Tmin and Tmax are means of grid-cell daily minima and maxima, not local extremes. Counts >30 and >35 use strict thresholds. GDD = sum max(0, mean T − base), uncapped; not a phenology forecast. Tmax excess = sum max(0, Tmax − threshold), not a heatwave index. March–May is a fixed meteorological convention, not an Italian crop calendar; only its intersection with the selected dates is used. Without overlap the value is undefined, not zero.
